WILDLIFE FILMMAKING

I spent an amazing month in Rietspruit, South Africa, interning with PaintedDogs.tv, a company that makes wildlife videos. Working with talented filmmakers and expert guides, I explored the savanna every day, learning so much about animals, nature, and how to tell stories through film.

Creating my own showreel was a fun but challenging project that helped me improve my filming and editing skills. This incredible experience not only strengthened my love for filmmaking but also inspired me to use it to teach and connect people with the beauty of nature. It truly changed my life and gave me a fresh perspective on the world. If you would like to see the showreel I created throughout this experience go on my Youtube Channel where it is available to watch.

PHOTOGRAPH ASSISTANT

As a photography assistant at Prizma Photo, working alongside photographer Dario, I gained valuable hands-on experience capturing both photos and videos at various events, including bat mitzvahs, weddings, and birthday parties. My role involved assisting with lighting, photographing guests according to their preferences, and contributing to the post-production editing process. This experience provided me with a deeper understanding of the technical aspects of photography, including the importance of lighting, composition, and camera settings. I also learned how to work with models, ensuring the best angles and poses for high-quality shots. Beyond the technical skills, this role taught me the art of capturing authentic moments, balancing both the creative and technical elements that make photography impactful.

WATERKEEPER

The Miami Waterkeeper Junior Ambassador program is a year-long initiative designed to help high school students become environmental advocates. I learned about the problems in Biscayne Bay and its nearby areas while developing leadership skills. I got training to be involved in our community and speak up for our beliefs. Other junior ambassadors and I share what we learn with different groups and help plan volunteer events. This program taught me how social, environmental, government and economic issues are all connected and how they affect the environment in South Florida.

DANCE TEACHER

During my two years as a dance teacher, I taught jazz and lyrical dance to kids aged four to seven. As their primary instructor, I led weekly classes on developing coordination and instilling foundational dance techniques. My responsibilities included teaching dance classroom etiquette and helping these ten students improve their dance skills. This role sharpened my leadership abilities as I led the class, requiring an organization to plan exciting lessons and choreograph dances suitable for their abilities. I also got to be creative in choreographing challenging but still doable routines for the kids. This job significantly enhanced my sense of responsibility as I was entrusted with the kids’ safety and progress every week, teaching me the importance of consistency and reliability in a teaching role.

LE PAIN QUOTIDIEN

During the summer of 2024, I worked as a barista at a coffee shop called Le Pain Quotidien. I admired the coffee’s focus on Belgian culture . As the main barista, I improved my customer service skills and gained insights into running a food establishment. Handling busy periods taught me to stay efficient and ensure quick service, ensuring customer satisfaction.
